Abstract -1

Energy Conservation in Higher Education Institutions

Energy is a vital Source which always needs to be produced, used and conserved. It is a chain like process which needs a proper order and selected use so as to continue the chain process. Conservation of energy can give fruitful results in the proper time. So, Conservation of Energy in Higher Education institutions can be in the form of solar energy most commonly so as to make proper use of electricity and reduce the consumption and cost. Rainwater storage tanks can be the mode of hydel energy or hydropower if permits with the setup. Similarly, the conservation of energy can have a cost effective report also. Many forms are coming out where the implementation in any mode can give suitable outputs in different phases.

Role of Energy Conservation in Higher Education

Abstract

The aim of this research paper is to suggest an energy efficiency plan for buildings housing higher education that includes both technological and behavioral improvement methods. The "Green Campus - Challenge for Energy Efficiency in Higher Education" and the "Energy for Sustainability Initiative" were both contexts in which the report was created. The examination of the energy usage profiles served as the foundation for an energy audit. To track and total the electricity consumption, a monitoring programme was run. Additionally evaluated were water and natural gas use. The objective of this paper is to improve the building facade, heating, and lighting systems. This paper aims to increase the awareness of energy conservation efforts and their solutions through educational initiatives.Education is the most important tool for energy conservation, success of such energy conservation program gives overall stretch in improving national economy.

Abstract -3

Energy Conservation in Higher Education Institutions

Energy conservation refers to reducing energy consumption through using less of an energy service. Energy conservation is often the most economical solution of energy shortages. Energy conservation is unquestionably of great importance to all of us, since we rely on energy for everything we do every single day. Energy supplied are limited and to maintain  a good quality of life, we must use energy wisely.

Energy conservation refers to the methods of reduction in energy consumption by way of elimination of wastage and promotion of efficiency. Energy conservation is the key element of energy management. We can reduce the energy consumption by adopting various ways of energy conservation which includes efficient use of technologies and avoiding energy wastages.

Some Initiatives Taken to Conserve Energy

Abstract

Natural resources are limited in nature, and as the population is growing, the needs and usage of these exhaustible resources also have escalated. To meet the unceasing need for energy, we humans are exploiting the resources for so long and due to this the fear of the resources perishing also has raised alarms in the mind of ecologists and people. Due to this alarming state of resources various initiatives and steps have been taken by the government of India and other bodies to conserve the energy and reduce the wasteful consumption of fuels. In the present paper some of the initiatives are discussed for the energy conservation.

Energy Conservation for Environmental Consciousness and Sustainability: a Case Study of R. R. Mangalam University

Abstract

India upholds the guidelines and requirements for sustainable energy conservation as a developing country. Different means of energy conservation are available to higher education institutions. Concern for the environment is an act of social responsibility that every higher education institution must value and ensure explicitly through its regular activities.Every higher education institution must commit to the cause that energy conservation will be achieved by creating a proactive and forward-thinking strategy to provide responsible, cost-effective, and energy-efficient operations on campus. The investigators have undertaken a case study of K.R Mangalam University, Gurugram, Haryana, India to study the activities and initiatives for energy conservation for fostering environmental consciousness and contributing towards the creation ofa sustainable future. This paper explores the university’s efforts to achieve a safe, secure, and environmentally conscious campus community while realistically and thoroughly reducing energy consumption, ensuring appropriate indoor air quality, and improving energy efficiency on campus.

Save Energy Save Life

Abstract

The reduction or elimination of the unnecessary or unwanted energy use is referred to as energy conservation. This can be done by using energy more efficiently that means using less energy for continuous services or changing behavior to use less service. Non-renewable energy resources are limited that are not replaced quickly enough to keep up with the speed of consumption, so we have to switch to renewable energy resources, we must give the attention towards energy conservation for the future needs.

We people waste a lot of energy in our day to day usage either by not turning the lights off when not in use .Energy needs to be conserved not only to cut costs but also to preserve for long use. There are various way to save energy in various level, using technologies to avoiding the higher energy consumption. Use LED, CFL, high power factor motor in industries and use the motor vehicle properly for  conservation of energy.

World has global energy problem that hundreds of millions of people lack access to sufficient energy entirely. So it is the time to take decision and start conservation of energy.
